What it's for

DOUBLE D is a fogger, not a spray. You set the can down, lock the valve open, walk out, and let the whole 5 oz discharge into the room. The label claim is that it "Defeats and Destroys Mal-odors in up to 6,000 Cubic Feet of Space," and the product page names the sources it is meant for: mold, mildew, urine, feces, decay, rancidity, animals, fire, tobacco smoke and cooking. Because the room has to stay shut for at least two hours and then be ventilated for 30 minutes, this is an after-hours job.

Watch Greg use it
Double D
In childcare

After a flood, a sewer backup or an animal intrusion, on a night the building is empty Not for use while children are in the building

In schools

Locker rooms Wrestling rooms Bus garages Any room where the odor has gone into the walls — run it over a weekend or a break

In gyms & churches

Fire or smoke odor Long-closed basements Spaces that smell of animals or decay after a summer shutdown

In offices & restaurants

Smoke-damaged offices Walk-in areas after a spoilage event Spaces where cooking odor has migrated into a room you cannot wash down

NOTE DOUBLE D deodorizes: it discharges a fogged deodorant into a closed room to eliminate odors from mold, urine, feces, decay and similar sources, in a space up to 6,000 cubic feet. It carries no organism list, no contact time for any organism and no registration number.

How to use it

Dwell time — the number that matters

2 hours undisturbed after discharge, then ventilate for 30 minutes before re-entering

The "keep the surface visibly wet" rule does not apply — this is a total-release aerosol, not a surface disinfectant. Size the room first: one can treats up to 6,000 cubic feet and the label permits only one fogger per room.

Directions

1. Do not use more than one fogger per room. Do not use in small, enclosed spaces such as closets, cabinets, or under counters or tables.

2. Turn off all ignition sources — pilot lights, stoves, heaters, and any open flame or spark source.

3. Close the windows. Shut off the air conditioning and heating so the fog stays in the room.

4. Place the can on a raised surface near the center of the room.

5. Press the valve button down until it locks for total discharge.

6. Leave the room immediately.

7. Do not disturb the area for at least 2 hours.

8. Ventilate the room for 30 minutes before re-entering.

✓ Safe on
Enclosed rooms of up to 6,000 cubic feet, with the HVAC off and the windows closed Rooms that are unoccupied and can stay shut for at least 2 hours Odor sources listed on the product page: mold, mildew, urine, feces, decay, rancidity, animals, fire, tobacco smoke, cooking
△ What not to use it on
  • Small, enclosed spaces such as closets, cabinets, or under counters or tables (label prohibition)
  • More than one can per room (label prohibition)
  • Anywhere ignition sources are live — this is an extremely flammable aerosol under pressure
  • Where temperatures exceed 50 °C / 122 °F, or in direct sunlight — the can may explode if heated
  • Occupied spaces — the room must stay closed and undisturbed for 2 hours, then be ventilated for 30 minutes
  • Strong oxidizing agents
  • Reducing agents
  • Some plastics (SDS Section 7 incompatible materials) — do not decant or let the discharge pool on plastic you care about

Works with

DYNASTY MICRO BC one-quart bottle on a tiled restroom floor next to a floor drain
DYNASTY MICRO BC

Live-bacteria odor controllant that digests fats, starches and proteins. DOUBLE D handles the air in a closed room in one shot; DYNASTY MICRO BC goes on the actual source — the drain, the grout, the mat — so the odor does not come back after you re-open the room.

SHA-BRZ one-quart spray bottle on a carpeted floor beside an upholstered chair in a locker room
SHA-BRZ

Water-based deodorant for carpet, upholstery, bedding and fabric. DOUBLE D cannot be used with people in the building. SHA-BRZ is what your staff uses on the soft goods during the day, between foggings.

GERMICIDAL DISINFECTANT II 16.5 oz aerosol can standing on a locker room bench next to athletic mats
GERMICIDAL DISINFECTANT II

Phenolic disinfectant aerosol, lemon scent, spray and let dry. If the job actually needs a kill claim on hard surfaces, that is the aerosol that carries one. DOUBLE D does not.

Questions directors ask

No, and do not present it as one. The label carries no registration number and no organism claims. It is a deodorizer. If you need a registered disinfectant for an inspection, pair it with NU-QUAT, ORACLE 1 or GERMICIDAL DISINFECTANT II and keep those labels on file.
